XSight won another pitch competition in Ukraine and, with the help of USAID, USF, and Startup Grind Kyiv and supported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA, was presented at the Startup Grind conference in San Francisco, California.
Our trip started with a wonderful home barbecue party where we were able to meet with Ukrainian startuppers and locals who support our country. We enjoyed the opportunity to practice our pitches and meet some truly amazing people.
The first day of the conference was a bit of a challenge as we navigated the venue and tried to make connections. We had some conversations but didn't see many results. On other part of the day, we were able to attend an incredible tour of the Google Cloud Office and listen to some inspiring speakers share their thoughts on driving tech startups forward.
One stroke of luck was when we find an empty stand from another AR/VR startup that had not arrived. We were able to use this opportunity to maximum effect and share our AR Adventures Platform with those who came to the booth. People were really interested in hearing about XSight and the power of our technology.
We also discovered a new XSight Tip for attendees:
"If you're single or don't have enough team members at the conference, you can place XSight Digital Twin, which will connect people on the location when you're not there. So, one man can be at two different locations simultaneously. It really helped us to reach more people" - Iurii Pleskach, iOS Tech Lead at XSight.
The next day we had our own XSight stand and it generated even more interest from Startup Grind participants. We received valuable feedback and made many new connections. Other startups even approached us to ask about integrating XSight with their own products.
Beyond the conference, we participated in different side events and networking parties. We were thrilled to be a part of such a great group of Ukrainian startups at the conference and to build deeper relationships with people who are driving world technologies from our country.
As a result of our trip, we have 5+ investors to follow up with and a few leads on custom XSight adventures for other companies. It was an incredible opportunity to spread the word about XSight and our engagement tools for different markets. We received many interesting ideas and feedback on how XSight could work in markets we're not even targeting yet. Overall, it was an incredible experience and we're looking forward to what the future holds for XSight.
